Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics – SINP (Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India) is seeking candidates for the Position of Research Associates (RA).

SINP, is an autonomous institute, invites applications on mail from candidates for temporary positions of Research

Associates (RAs) in the various Divisions of the Institute.

11. Plasma Physics, Theory.

The institute invites applications on e-mail from candidates for open temporary positions of Research Associates (RAs) in the Condensed Matter Physics  Division, Theory Division & SINP Beamline of the Institute.

Divisions:   Condensed Matter Physics, Theory, SINP Beamline.

Total No. of Positions: 7

Required Essential Qualification:

1. Ph.D in Physics or Scholars who have submitted Ph.D. thesis and are yet to receive their Ph.D degree (provisional or otherwise).
2. Desirable Qualification: Should have a PhD degree in Material Science with experience in x-ray scattering and surface scattering techniques.
3. The research associate will be stationed at INDUS-II synchrotron centre at RRCAT, Indore to carry out scientific responsibilities and also to support users at the Beamline
   BL-13.

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on last date of receiving the application.

Duration / Tenure: The tenure of Research Associates may be decided by the Institute as per overall sanctions available to them for this purpose. Such appointments will be for a period of (01) year with the possibility of extension for one (01) more year.

 Fellowship:

1. Rs. 36, 000/- PM for RA-1+HRA
2. Rs.32, 000/- PM, for scholars who have submitted Ph.D. thesis and are yet to receive their Ph.D degree (provisional or otherwise) +HRA
3. Rs 38,000/- PM for RA-2+HRA

In addition the other admissible benefits are applicable.
