Academic scholarships: HAW Hamburg Master international students 1472 views

Hamburg University of Applied Sciences grants scholarships to its academically strong international students studying in Master degree programmes.

Scholarship value:

  • up to 500 Euros/month (up to 4 months per semester)
  • scholarship is for one semester; extension for a further two semesters is possible

Scholarship requirements:

  • Applicants must be enrolled/registered in a Master’s programme at the HAW Hamburg
  • Applicants must have completed their school education outside of Germany or have graduated from a Studienkolleg
  • Applicants must not be eligible for BAföG (If applicant fulfill the basic application criteria according to §8 of the BAföG law (Federal Training Assistance Act), he/she will not be eligible for this scholarship according to the scholarship regulations.

Academic requirements:

  • Non-engineering students: applicant must have completed Bachelor’s degree or Diplom in the Regelstudienzeit with a grade of at least 2.2 (or equivalent to German system, if the degree is from outside Germany)
  • Engineering students: applicant must have completed Bachelor’s degree or Diplom in the Regelstudienzeit with a grade of at least 2.5 (or equivalent to German system, if the degree is from outside Germany)
  • All grades for the Ist semester in a Master’s programme at the HAW Hamburg better than at least 2.5, also for extensions.

  • Completed application form must be submitted to the International Office of the HAW Hamburg.
