AMVA4NewPhysics is a EU-funded Horizon 2020 program. AMVA4NewPhysics is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network including European institutions that will nurture the development and exploitation of Advanced Multi-Variate Analysis (AMVA) for New Physics searches. The Network will offer comprehensive training in both physics and advanced analysis techniques to graduate students, aiming on providing them with the know-how and the experience to enhance their career prospects in and outside academia.

This project is being led by INFN Padova in Italy. For its research posts, project is recruiting 10 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) for employment by the network partners in Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of new matrix element tools and to the analysis of ATLAS data using proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV produced by the LHC collider at CERN. Job Reference: FELL-ITN-AMVA4NewPhysics-2016

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicant must possess a university degree
  • Applicant must have a maximum of 4 years of full-time research experience, including any period of research training, after obtaining the degree which formally allowed them to embark on a doctorate in the country in which the degree/diploma was obtained or in the host country.
  • Applicants may be enrolled in a Doctorate program but cannot be PhD holders at the start of their employment contract.
  • Applicant can be of any nationalities provided.
  • Applicant must be proficient in English; training in other languages can be provided through the ITN’s training budget.
