Biocon Academy in association with Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani to deliver a first of its kind ‘Certificate Program in Applied Industrial Microbiology’.

About the program:

  • The Program is aimed at enhancing the employability prospects of fresh science and pharmacy graduates specialized in microbiology
  • The program is aimed at enhancing the skills of experienced scientific talent.
  • The program imparts deep understanding of various aspects of Microbiology through an Intensive curriculum comprising 8 modules, delivered by the renowned faculty from BITS.
  • The live experiments at the state-of-the-art Quality Control Labs of Biocon further accentuate the learning of the students is also the part of program

Course Modules

  • Orientation to Applied Industrial Microbiology
  • Pharmaceutical Microbiology: Quality Systems
  • Pharmaceutical Microbiology: EMP & Bio-burden
  • Pharmaceutical Microbiology: Testing for Sterility and Endotoxin
  • Practical Trainings
  • Determining Microbiological Quality of Food and Beverage (FSSAI & BIS)
  • Diagnostic Microbiology
  • Examination on all 6 technical modules will be taken

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must hold M.Sc. Biotechnology with Microbiology as one semester paper or M.Sc. Microbiology or B. Pharm/ M. Pharm with Microbiology as one semester paper (Fresher or Experienced)
  • Minimum CGPA/Percentage Required: CGPA: 6.85 and above on a scale of 10 or 65% and above

Program Fee:

  • The BITS-Biocon Certificate Program Applied Industrial Microbiology is being made available to students at a 40% cost, of the program.
  • The Biocon Merit Scholarship to all students selected through a rigorous process, will enable students to pursue this one-of-its kind program at an affordable cost.

Biocon Scholarship: 60% of the cost of the Program to all selected students.
