Brackenridge Research Fellowships 1366 views

Brackenridge Research Fellowship is named for the founder of the University of Pittsburgh, Hugh Henry Brackenridge. The fellowship supports University of Pittsburgh bachelor’s students who carry out an independent research project, participate in a weekly seminar in which Fellows present and discuss their projects, and attend a series of (almost) weekly faculty lectures.

Number of awards: Approximately 20-25 awards

Requirements:

  • Projects may be analytic or purely creative.
  • Selection is based on applicant’s academic record, the quality of the proposal, novelty and promise of proposed projects, as well as the desire to create and participate in an interdisciplinary community of students in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and applied disciplines.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be Full-time, undergraduate students on the Oakland campus who are sponsored by and working with a full-time faculty member during the Fellowship.
  • Applicant can be from any field and any class, including freshmen as well as seniors.
