The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) announces Call for International Students Programs. CAAS is a national research organization for scientific research, technology transfer and education in agriculture. The institute offers Master’s and Doctoral programs to international students through 34 institutes of CAAS.

Duration: 3 years (for both Master’s and Doctoral programs)

Language of Instruction: mostly English or Chinese-English bilingually in graduate training.

Fees:

  • Application Fee (charged after admission): Master’s Student /Doctoral Student: 600 Yuan /person; Visiting scholar/ Senior Visiting Scholar: 400 Yuan/person.
  • Tuition fee: Master’s Student / Visiting Scholar: 30,000 RMB/person/year; Doctoral Student /Senior Visiting Scholar: 40,000 RMB/person/year.
  • Insurance fee: RMB 800/year;
  • Accommodation fee: 1500 RMB /month for one student

  • The Graduate School of CAAS Scholarship (GSCAASS).
  • The Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS).
  • Other Scholarships: GSCAAS welcomes international students/scholars supported by international organization, foreign governments, research institutions, universities and organizations, to pursue higher degree in GSCAAS.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be Non-Chinese citizens, healthy and willing to follow the Chinese laws and decrees.
  • Applicant must hold Bachelor’s degree and under the age of 35 (Master’s programs); Master’s degree and under the age of 40 (Doctoral programs);at least two years of undergraduate studies and under the age of 35 (Visiting Scholar); Master’s or higher degree or academic titles of associate professor or higher, and under the age of 40 (Senior Visiting Scholar).
  • Applicant must be English and/or Chinese proficient

Note: Applicants keen on applying for the Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) and Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS) are required to submit application documents by April30th, 2017for enrolment of autumn semester.
