Campus Fellows Program; Postdoctoral: NCBS 2212 views

National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) offers the Campus Fellows Program. The program is targeted at postdoctoral scientists of outstanding talent, and provides them comprehensive independence and support to carry out their research in a host laboratory at NCBS or inStem.

Duration: maximum 4 years; contingent on successful annual review every year
Fellowship value:
  • Salary: Rs. 90,000 per month (consolidated)
  • Campus housing

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must not have more than 4 years of postdoctoral research experience.
  • Applicant must be sponsored by a local host who is a member of NCBS/inStem Faculty.

Applications:

Application package must be as a single collated PDF and must include the following:

  • Latest CV
  • Research proposal with detailed plans and timelines of the project, developed in close association with the proposed host (max 4-5 pages including references).
  • 1 to 3 first-author publications (PDF versions)
  • A letter of support from the proposed host (emailed directly to acadoffice@ncbs.res.in)
  • At least 2 letters of references (emailed directly by the referees to acadoffice@ncbs.res.in)

Deadline:

  • There are two calls each year (Feb. and Aug.).
  • Short-listed candidates will have to present their research proposal and will be interviewed by the panel in Oct 2018.
  • The next call will be February, 2019.
