COFUND MULTIPLY: 33 Marie S. Curie Postdoctoral fellowships in Photonics 4910 views

The 6th call of MULTIPLY is now OPEN. MULTIPLY is a 5 year Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Action co-ordinated by the Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies, Aston University, that will offer interdisciplinary training. There will be six calls over a period of 3 years, from 2017 to 2020. The first call was in January 2017.

Eligibility:
  • Applicant must be an experienced researcher, be in possession of a doctoral degree as on reference date**; and if the applicant does not have a doctoral degree, they shall have at least four years of full-time research experience.
  • Applicant must meet the mobility criteria; applicant must not have resided or carried out your main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of your host organization for more than a year in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date. Compulsory national service and/or short stays such as holidays are not taken into account.
  • Applicant must produce a letter of COFUND commitment from the host organization.
  • There is no age limit

** For Call 3 the applicable Reference Date will be July 1 2018 (subject to the ranking list being finalised before this date). To be eligible for funding, you have to demonstrate that you comply with both eligibility and mobility criteria on the Reference Date

How to apply:

Follow the following steps:

  • Step 1: Find a host of your choice, and approach them with your research idea. Ensure that you meet the mobility criterion when choosing your host.
  • Step 2: Agree on the specifics of the work plan and research goals with your host. At this point, ensure that the host also will be able support you with their share of the mandatory COFUND commitment over the whole duration of the proposed fellowship.
  • Step 3: Write your research proposal together with your host.
  • Step 4: Obtain the letter of COFUND commitment from your host that guarantees your host will support your fellowship with their share of the COFUND commitment over the whole duration of your fellowship.
  • Step 5: Apply to the MULTIPLY fellowship programme before the call deadline.
