Development Scholarships at Charles University 2090 views

Charles University offers Development Scholarships, thanks to a generous contribution from the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. The scholarships are available in the Faculty of Social Sciences, where a limited number of partial scholarships for students of all fee based programs in academic year 2022/2023 are available.

Number of scholarships: 7 scholarships

Scholarship value:

  • School fees waiver for the Ist semester of study
  • 50 000 CZK (about 2050 EUR) as a contribution towards living costs (one-off payment)
  • School fees for the IInd semester of study will NOT be waived.

How to apply:

  • Applications are invited from students of developing countries and/or countries going through a process of political and economic transition, who are applying for study in one of the Bachelor’s studies or Master’s studies programmes at FSV UK from academic year 2022/23.
  • Applications must filed on the form attached with this announcement, and must include the following documents:
  • Completed application form
  • Motivation letter (max. 1000 words) explaining why scholarship is needed, and what they hope to gain from their studies at Charles University
  • 2 letters of recommendation from teachers, who know the student from their previous studies, including confirmation of the student’s financial need
  • Applications to be sent to the Manager of the International Office.
  • All documents submitted must be originals and written in the English language, or accompanied by certified
