DTU Physics: Multiple PhD Positions 1307 views

DTU Physics invites highly inspired and talented candidates to apply for a number of vacant PhD positions. The department has strong cross-disciplinary associations within DTU, with leading international universities and facilities, and with private companies.

Research areas offered for the PhD positions:

Atomic scale materials design

  • Computational Atomic-scale materials design
  • Biophysics and fluids
  • Experimental surface and nanomaterials physics
  • Quantum physics and information technology
  • Fusion and plasma physics
  • Neutrons and x-rays for materials physics

The Department is focusing on teaching and research in physics areas of fundamental interest and with clear application and innovation potentials.

Salary and duration:

  • Salary: approximately 46.000 Euro including pension and travel grants
  • 3 years (to obtain a PhD degree)
  • no later than first half of 2018

Qualifications

  • Applicant must hold a master’s degree in Physics or a similar relevant degree with an academic level equivalent to the master’s degree in engineering.
  • Applicant must demonstrate flexibility, self-discipline and curiosity as well as collaboration and responsibility are basic skills at our department.
