Gauss Fellows (Scientist): MPI-DS 1232 views

The Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization (MPI-DS) invites applications for Gauss Fellows (Scientist) at the Department of Living Matter Physics.

Number of positions: up to two research positions are available
Requirements:
  • Applicant must hold a PhD/DPhil degree with a background in Theoretical Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Applicant must have prior experience with nonequilibrium statistical physics of biological systems and soft matter
  • Applicant must be fluent in English language

Duration: 2 years with the possibility of extension

Remunerations: Salary as per the German state public service salary scale (E13 TVöD-Bund) and the corresponding social benefits

Starting Date: 1st March, 2018
