IBS-CGP: Postdoc grants Maths and Physics: Applications are invited for Postdoc Research Fellowship at the IBS Center for Geometry and Physics (IBS-CGP) for several postdoctoral research fellowship positions.

IBS-CGP is working to bring world’s leading scientists in the field of mathematics together with young researchers to collaborate on research projects.

Selection criteria:

  1. IBS recruits based on scientific excellence and creative ideas, rather than pre-determined goals or demonstrated practical outcomes.
  2. IBS provides an open and autonomous research environment.
  3. The existing members of IBS-CGP are working in algebraic geometry, symplectic geometry and topology, mirror symmetry, dynamical systems, and mathematical aspects of quantum field and string theory.

Requirements: Successful candidates for postdoctoral research fellowship positions will be new or recent Ph.D.’s with outstanding research potential.

Type of Position:

  1. These non-tenure-track appointments are for 2 or 3 years,
  2. These are purely research positions,
  3. Research fellows will have no teaching duties.

IBS-CGP offers annual travel funds of KRW 8,000,000 in addition to basic research equipment and comprehensive benefits including medical and travel insurance and a retirement fund.
