Eligibility:

  • Applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution (for MSc)
  • Applicant must hold Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution ( for PhD)
  • Applicant must be highly proficient in English language, as evident by their TOEFL or IELTS score.
  • Applicants scoring TOEFL – 98 and above, IELTS – 7.0 and above are most welcome to apply (exemptions from submitting the English test scores are given to applicants from a very limited number of countries only.
  • Applicant must possess an excellent academic record and sound plan for their Master’s/PhD research
  • Applicant must have secured enough funds to support themselves and families for the duration of their stay.
  • Applicant must be in good health
  • IPADS invites applications from all countries and regions. This includes Japanese citizens and permanent residents

Costs for Graduate Program:

Admission Fee (One Time Only): ¥282,000

Tuition Fee (Annual), Master’s Course: ¥535,800

Tuition Fee (Annual), Doctoral Course: ¥520,800

Tuition-fees exemption

  • University offers a tuition waiver program for other students who meet certain criteria. (Be aware that even in cases of extreme financial need, the tuition wavier generally isn’t above 50%)
