Position 1: The Kannada Language Chair, Centre of Indian Languages, School of Language Literature and Cultural Studies, JNU seeks qualified candidates for 1) Office assistant and 2) Research assistant

A. Required qualifications for Office Assistant

  1. A degree in any subject with knowledge of Computer applications.
  2. Experience in handling office work
  3. Fluency in Kannada, Hindi and English
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to work independently and with colleagues from diverse culture.

B. Required qualifications for Research Assistant (RA)

  1. PG degree in any subject with proper understanding of Kannada language, literature and Culture studies
  2. Basic understanding in library Cataloguing and classification.
  3. Fluency in Hindi and English
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to work independently and with other research scholars from diverse culture.

Position 2: Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the School of Physical Sciences

Applications are invited for the post of JRF to work in the project entitled “Exploiting Thermodynamic, Spectroscopic and Microscopic Studies to Understand Mechanism of GAG-peptide interaction” funded by DST-SERB under the supervision of Dr. Manoj Munde, School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Fellowship: As per DST norms, Rs. 25,000/- p.m. plus HRA as permissible

Required Essential Qualifications:

  1. Applicant must have M.Sc in Chemistry with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/Institute with CSIR/UGC-NET or GATE qualification (attach a copy of the scorecard).
  2. Desirable Qualification: Candidates having exposure to handling biophysical techniques are encouraged to apply.
