Kavli Astrophysics Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics (KIAA) at Peking University in china and the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU)is inviting applications for the Kavli Astrophysics Postdoctoral Fellowship.

Several postdoctoral positions are on offer.

KIAA is located in Peking University in China. It has English as the working language, and regularly sponsors thematic workshops and conferences to provide a platform for national and international scientific exchanges.

KIAA has priority access to a wide range of domestic and international telescopes and to domestic supercomputing facilities.

Scholarship duration: 4 years

  • The fellow will spend 2 years at Kavli IPMU and 2 years at KIAA, pending satisfactory performance.

Scholarship Award:

  • The award is split between KIAA and Kavli IPMU, and offers an annual salary of $70,000/year and research funds of $10,000 per year.

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • The Fellowship is open to all applicants who received their PhD since 1 January 2015, or who will graduate prior to their expected start date.

  • Send the following documents by post to their preferred host institute for their first 2 years by November 30
  • The KIAA submissions should be sent via e-mail.
