MPI of Biochemistry: PhD position; Immunology 1697 views

Max Planck Institute (MPI) of Biochemistry and the research group Neuroinflammation and mucosal immunology invites application for a PhD student position in immunology. The position is funded by European Research Council (ERC) starting grant.

About the project:

  • The group is interested in understanding how gut microbes control the activation of innate and adaptive immune cells during autoimmunity.
  • High throughput metagenomics sequencing and genetically modified mouse models to identify novel mechanisms of host-microbe interactions are used.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be talented, highly motivated and hardworking with a strong background in immunology and molecular biology.
  • Applicants with previous work experience in transgenic mouse models, flow cytometry and cellular immunological assays will have an advantage.

Duration: fixed term; 3 years; possibility of an extension
