NUS: Doctoral Research Scholarships 1821 views

National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications Doctoral Research Scholarships for the A.Y. 2018-2019 (from Aug 2018 to July 2019) in Law. As Asia’s Global Law School, the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore (NUS Law) is dedicated to nurture excellence in research by building a strong core of doctoral research students.

The NUS PhD course includes:

  • coursework (up to 6 graduate courses, taken in the Ist year)
  • thesis of not more than 80,000 words

Qualification Requirements:

  • Applicant must hold Bachelor’s or first degree in Law (LLB/BA/JD); OR a Master’s degree in Law (LLM/BCL/MJur/MPhil) with a relevant Bachelor’s Degree; OR relevant equivalent qualifications.
  • TOEFL is required for all International applicants (except for Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA).
  • Applicant must have taken internet-based TOEFL (iBT) with minimum score of 100.
  • Exceptional applicants in any area of law are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • monthly stipend is currently S$2,000 (For International Students)
  • Probationary Doctorate students who successfully pass the DCQE will receive an additional monthly stipend of up to S$500/month.
  • Scholarship and additional allowances are renewable annually subject to good performance.
