Postdoc Position: Theoretical Chemistry/Physics; MPI for Chemical Energy Conversion 1503 views

Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion and the department of Molecular Theory and Spectroscopy invites applications for the postdoctoral position in theoretical chemistry or physics and experience in computational chemistry.

The postdoc position is available in of Alexander A. Auer’s group (Dept. Professor Dr. Frank Neese) in molecular and heterogeneous catalysis, combined with computational chemistry.

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must hold PhD degree in theoretical chemistry or physics
  • Applicant must possess some experience in the application of quantum chemical methods.
  • Applicants with basic knowledge in heterogeneous catalysis and electrochemistry would have advantage.

The offer

  • The position is available immediately and to be filled as soon as possible; the starting date is flexible.

Duration: initially for 12 months; extension is possible

Salary: according to the collective wage agreement for the public service (TVöD), pay level E 13.
