Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM) at the University of the Basque Country invites applications for the Postdoctoral Fellowship in Computational Mathematics and Fluid Dynamics. The position is available under Johan Jansson.

Fellowship value: 28.000 – 32.000€ (gross annual salary); moving allowance (EUR 1.000 to EUR 2000 gross)

Duration: 2 years

Requirements:

  • Applicant must demonstrate ability to perform exceptional research accomplishments
  • Applicant must hold PhD degree preferable in Mathematics or Computer Science and must have PhD completed when the position starts.
  • Applicant must possess strong knowledge and experience of computational mathematics and FEM as well as software development for distributed memory architectures.
  • Applicant must possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Applicant must be capable to effectively communicate and present research ideas to researchers with different background
  • Applicant must be able to clearly present and publish research outcomes in spoken (talks) and written (papers) form.
  • Applicant must have programming competence in C++ and Python.
