Postdoctoral position: Ultrafast Laser Science and Nonlinear Optics 1952 views

ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences invites applications for a Postdoctoral position in Ultrafast Laser Science and Nonlinear Optics. The position is available in Attoscience and ultrafast optics research group. The group is led by Prof. Dr. Jens Biegert. The candidate will conduct research in a small team, hence coordination of scientific work and project leadership is required.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must hold an internationally recognized PhD equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future) in a relevant field.
  • Applicant must have demonstrated experience in ultrafast pulse generation, nonlinear optics and metrology
  • Applicant must have knowledge in laser physics, the aspects of pulse formation and compression of few-cycle pulses, and concepts to measure pulses and experience with optical simulation and ray tracing is beneficial.
  • Applicants are expected to possess excellent skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Applications are open to all nationalities (no restrictions of citizenship)
