Québec Excellence Scholarships For Foreign Students: The grant program is conducted by Fonds de recherche du Québec (Government of Quebec , Nature et technologies (FRQNT).

Who can apply: The program is open to students of all countries and 5 specific components reserved for students from Brazil, China, India, Mexico and Wallonia.

These specific countries arise from agreement concluded between Québec and mentioned governments.

Eligibility Conditions

  1. Open to International applicants.
  2. Applicants must have been preselected by a university, the Trans-Tech Network (for CCTT), the SRE or CONACYT by September 23, 2017.
  3. Canadian citizens are not eligible for the Québec Excellence Scholarships.
  4. Applicants for Québec-Wallonie scholarships must have previously studied in a French-speaking Belgian university at the time of receiving the award.
  5. Applicants must hold a certificate of acceptance (CAQ) issued by the Department of Immigration.

Required Documents

  1. Applicants must submit a photocopy of their passport.
  2. Official academic transcripts must be submitted.
  3. Publisher’s Acknowledgments for all the articles submitted and notices received from editors should be submitted.
  4. Applicants need to provide letters of recommendation.
  5. Must submit the letter of acceptance.
