Study Abroad Fees Scholarship is offered by the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences at University of Waikato. This scholarship was established for incoming Study Abroad students to enhance awareness and nurture interest among international students in academic programmes offered by the Faculty. The scholarship is available to Undergraduate, Postgraduate (Taught), Postgraduate (Research) students.

Eligibility:

  • Scholarship is open for international students who are enrolled at a university that has a Study Abroad agreement with the University of Waikato, and who are intending to enroll as a Study Abroad student in the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences at the University of Waikato.
  • Applicants for the Scholarship must be enrolled at a university that has a Study Abroad agreement with the University of Waikato.

Application:

  • Applications will be received and considered on a rolling basis for enrolment in an appropriate semester for as long as the Scholarships are available.
  • There is no set closing date for this award.
  • The applicant will normally apply for the Scholarship in the application round preceding the commencement of the papers for which funding is being sought.

Selection Criteria:

  • Scholarships are to be granted based on academic merit.
  • GPA calculations will be based on the equivalent of the applicant’s most recent two years of full-time study (where applicable).
  • Applicant’s involvement in sporting, cultural or community activities will also be taken into consideration.
