UNU-IIGH: Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme 3820 views

The Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme at UNU-IIGH (United Nations University- International Institute for Global Health) aims to provide an opportunity for scholars who have recently (not more than 5 years) graduated with a Doctorate to expand their career beyond their scientific disciplines.

UNU-IIGH offers an excellent multicultural environment for recent PhD graduates to interact with scholars from different countries and diverse academic backgrounds.

Duration: 12-month residency

Fellowship value: monthly stipend

  • Governance for Global Health
Eligibility:
  • Applicants must have received PhD within 5 years preceding the date of commencement of the fellowship.
  • Applicant must be proficient in English.
  • Applicants from developing countries and women are particularly encouraged to apply (open to all nationalities).

  • Completed and signed UNU application form (P-11)
  • Cover letter describing motivation, and how you would contribute to any of the Institute’s ongoing research projects during a 12-month Postdoctoral Fellowship
  • Abstract of doctoral research/dissertation
  • Sample of recent publications (in English)
  • 2 references to support the application, (with one of the references written by the applicant’s PhD thesis supervisor)
  • copy of passport details page (scanned copy)
