JRF and RA Quantum Field Theory/ Particle Physics / High Energy Physics, India (2015)

Recruitment of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and/ or Research Associate (RA): Applications arc invited for Research Fellowships) starting on October 01, 2015 for a period of three years within the High Energy Physics Group of University of Delhi. Research positions arc available under the aegis of the CSIR funded project on Theoretical High Energy Physics Phenomenology titled “Signatures of new physics at present and future Colliders” under the co-supervision of Dr. Mamta Dahiya and Dr. Sukanta Dutta.

Eligibility:-

M.Sc. in Physics with 60% and above with CSIR-UGC JRF/ NET/ GATE can apply. Experience in Quantum Field Theory/ Particle Physics / High Energy Physics will be JRp preferable. Programming skill in C++/ Python will be an added advantage.

Candidates who have appeared for M.Sc. Final and arc expecting their results before September 2015 can also apply.

Ph.D. in High Energy Particle Physics or Cosmology and should have experience in DA phenomcnological research of direct relevance to the experiment.

Fellowship: – JRF : Rs. 25,000/- per month + H.R.A and

RA : Rs. 36,000/- per month (fixed)

The selected JRF applicant would be required to work on the alternative scenarios of the electron* eak physics in the presence of light higgs and/or indirect search for Dark Matter candidates at colliders. Candidate is also required to register for Ph.D. at the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi.

Initial appointment for both positions is for one year purely on temporary basis and is renewable subject to the performance review even- year.
