Postdoc grants for female at University of Adelaide, Australia

Applications are now invited from female postdoctoral fellows at the University of Adelaide, with preference given to applicants who graduated with a PhD less than five years ago. The grants will provide financial assistance to early career female postdoctoral fellows who will be presenting a research poster or an oral research presentation at an upcoming conference require small grant support for research not covered by other funding sources

To acknowledge the contribution made by the Australian Federation of University Women (AFUW) the University of Adelaide has established in perpetuity, AFUW South Australian Postdoctoral Grants. The aim of the grants, each worth up to $5,000, is to help two female postdoctoral fellows establish their careers.

Selection for these grants will be based on the applicant’s track record, necessity of the travel or purchase of equipment to an applicant’s research scholarly activities, the standing of the conference (if applicable) and the expected benefits for the applicant.

The grants must be used in the year in which they are awarded.
