Postdoctoral Research position in proteomics at SciLifeLab at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Skolan för bioteknologi. KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm is the largest and oldest technical university in Sweden. No less than one-third of Sweden’s technical research and engineering education capacity at university level is provided by KTH.

The School of Biotechnology offers a curriculum that reflects the multidisciplinary nature of Biotechnology, integrating theoretical and applied science in undergraduate and graduate courses. The school has six departments with about 300 employees, located at AlbaNova University Center in Stockholm and Science for Life Laboratory in Solna. The Biotechnology research within the school is internationally well recognized.

Job description

A two-year postdoctoral position is available in the labs of Paul Hudson and Lukas Käll at the Science for Life Laboratory, Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. The project is centered on shotgun proteomics of photosynthetic bacteria and integration of the data into metabolic models.  There will be opportunities to interact with other experimental proteomics and systems biology groups at SciLifeLab.

Requirements / Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a PhD in biotechnology, systems biology, bioinformatics, or related field. Experience with experimental LC/MS and handling data from mass spectrometers or other large datasets is desirable. Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl) and/or Matlab is also desirable.
