Research Fellow position in biophysics of intracellular trafficking

ICFO is offering a senior research fellow position to an excellent-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.

The successful candidate will be part of the Single Molecule Biophotonics group led by Dr. Maria Garcia Parajo. The project will focus on elucidating the biophysical principles that coordinate membrane transport in living cells using a combination of modern super-resolution microscopy, single molecule dynamics and cell biology approaches. Importantly, the candidate will complement experimental results with quantitative theoretical models to rationalize the experimental data and make testable predictions. Ultimately, the project aims at understanding the mechanism(s) used by different molecular players to form transport carriers for intracellular trafficking.
