Postdoc Position in Mathametics (Probability Theory), Canada (2015)

Postdoctoral for a two-year postdoctoral position jointly hosted by the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta in the area of probability theory. In particular we are seeking applicants with a strong background in stochastic analysis, Markov processes, branching processes and/or measure valued processes. The candidate will be collaborating with Dr. Mike Kouritzin (U of A) and Dr. Deniz Sezer (U of C) on a common project.

As this is a joint position we expect that the candidate will spend one year at U of C and one year at U of A. This collaboration will be a part of PIMS (Pacific Institute for Mathematical Sciences) Postdoctoral Training Center in Stochastics. This center will support postdocs at PIMS universities in Canada and will also provide networking support for these postdocs, including visits to other PIMS sites. The salary will be at a competitive level with additional funding for travel.
