Postdoctoral in Computational Design (materials science or engineering) of Materials Microstructure Japan

Computer simulation of microstructure evolutions in functional and structural materials such as age-hardening Mg-based alloys and rare-earth hard magnets. Computer simulations for understanding the quantitative relationship between microstructures and materials properties.Qualifications: The applicant should (or is expected to) have a Ph.D. degree in the field of materials science or engineering. We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher who will pursue computational and theoretical challenges bridging between the metallurgy and the image-based property calculation on practical materials. The candidates should have experience in the programming skills (e.g., Fortran, C, etc.) in addition to the performance on materials science and engineering.

Salary: Annual salary system

Term of employment: Oct. 1st, 2015* – Mar. 31, 2016**

*negotiable, **possibly extended up to Mar. 31, 2018 (yearly contract)
