Michigan State University, Department of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences has an immediate opening of postdoctoral research associate position. The research associate will investigate dioxin sorption mechanisms by soil components, bioavailability of sorbed dioxins, and have opportunity for interdisciplinary collaborative studies.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in environmental chemistry, soil sciences, geochemistry, or related areas. Excellent organic analytical skills of trace level of persistence organic compounds and mechanism-based research experience are desirable but not required. The position is available immediately and will be filled until an appropriate candidate is selected.

The appointment will be offered for one year, with possible renewals, depending on the availability of funding and satisfactory performance of the research associate.
