One postdoctoral Position is available in Chemistry (Inorganic/ Organic synthesis) in the group of Dr. Amit Kumar (Associate Professor, CNMS, Jain University Bangalore) for a project entitled “Design, synthesis of novel transition metal and bioactive molecule for therapeutic applications” at Centre for Nano and Material Sciences (CNMS), Jain University, Bangalore, Karnataka, India.Qualifications and Experience:
- PhD in Chemistry/thesis submitted in Chemistry
- Good experimental skills (experience with organic and inorganic synthesis technique). Candidate also should have a sound background in inorganic/ organic or bioinorganic chemistry.The ability to work closely and collaborate with colleagues is a must.
- Proficiency with the English language is required
Conditions of employment: Based on University rules depends on experience
Appointment is for 1 year, and extendable, based on performance. Candidates must be trained in organic/inorganic synthetic methodologies, chromatographic purification and characterization of the compounds using IR, NMR, Mass, and other commonly used spectroscopy technique.
