Center for Disease Control (CDC) – National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) – Postdoctoral Research Program. Fellowships are for research related to developing programs and policies that will improve the health of the American people. General areas of interest for research at NCHS include statistical theory, survey methodology, statistical computing, economics, demography, and social and behavioral science. Fellows must be in residence at NCHS in Hyattsville, MD, during the fellowship period.  The fellowship is for 2 years.

Award Amount:

  • The annual stipend ranges from $76,378 to $118,069, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Sick leave, annual leave, thrift savings (401(k) equivalent) and health and life insurance are available.
  • FlexiTime or an Alternate Work Schedule is available with supervisor’s approval.
  • Free onsite parking or a public transportation subsidy.
