Two Faculty positions in Analytical, Inorganic Chemistry, Computational and Theoretical Chemistry Canada

The Department of Chemistry at Dalhousie University invites applications for 2 tenure-stream faculty positions.   In one position, preference will be given to applicants in the fields of analytical or inorganic chemistry.   In the other, preference will be given to applicants in the fields of computational and/or theoretical chemistry.

The positions require a PhD degree, postdoctoral experience and an exceptional research track record. It is anticipated that the appointments will be made at the Assistant Professor level, although higher ranks could be considered depending on qualifications of the applicant. The successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate classes in chemistry and to develop vigorous and creative research programs with external funding.

Applications should consist of a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a detailed research proposal (5 pages maximum including executive summary), a separate statement of teaching interests and experience, and a separate one-page statement of how the proposed research aligns with the Dalhousie University Strategic Research Plan and brings new, complementary strengths to our department.  The applicant should also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent by referees directly to the department.
