Call for Assistant Professor Positions in School of Basic Sciences (SBS), Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi. The School of Basic Sciences (SBS), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi invites applications for faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor in different areas of chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics.
Candidates with an established track record of high-quality research in relevant areas are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a passion for teaching and should be exceptionally self-motivated. IIT Mandi promotes an interdisciplinary culture and SBS faculty can collaborate with Institute faculty in other areas of engineering and humanities and social sciences. Also, with its location in the Himalayas, IIT Mandi provides unique opportunities for research on socially-relevant technologies for the Himalayan region.
We are hiring in the following areas: Physical properties of d and f-electron based magnetic materials, Transport studies in the Chalcogen compounds; Nanotheranostics, Metabolic flux analysis of plants, Intrinsically disordered proteins and folding mechanism, Environmental and Health associated genomics and Metagenomics; Controllability of Abstract Differential Equations.
Exceptional candidates in other areas may also be considered. A Ph.D. degree is necessary for a faculty position at IIT Mandi; however, candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis recently or are close to completing their Ph.D. degree may also apply.
