General Information: NYU Shanghai invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position in theoretical/computational chemistry, with an anticipated start date on or about September 1, 2016. While we expect to hire at the Assistant Professor level, candidates at other ranks will also be considered. We are seeking individuals with outstanding accomplishments in research and scholarship, skills in undergraduate and graduate teaching, and interest in guiding undergraduate and graduate research.

NYU Shanghai is implementing a significant growth plan, including the establishment of the NYU-ECNU Center for Computational Chemistry at NYU Shanghai (https://shanghai.nyu.edu/research/chemistry), which aims to provide a platform for world-class research, student training, and international collaboration in computational chemistry. The new theoretical/computational chemistry hire will join a core group of faculty members from NYU, ECNU and NYU Shanghai who are conducting frontier research in various fields of theoretical and computational chemistry, biology, and material sciences at the NYU-ECNU Center for Computational Chemistry. 

Opportunities are also available for interacting with other researchers at the NYU-ECNU Institute of Physics, Institute of Brain and Cognitive Science, and Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU Shanghai. The successful candidate will play a key role in the growth of the chemistry program at NYU Shanghai.
