Faculty Recruitment (Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) for Rural Management Programme India 2015

TISS Tuljapur Campus invites application for the post of Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Programme Manager on contract basis initially for one year and extendable up to two years.The Institute is looking for candidates with significant teaching and research experience in the field. Candidates should demonstrate high motivation and inspiration to meet the programme objectives and contribute towards high quality academic outputs.

  1. Associate Professor in Rural Marketing – One Post. Pay Band Rs.37400-67000 and Academic Grade Pay Rs.9000. Should have expertise in Consumer Behaviour, Marketing Research, Advertising, Sales and Distribution Management, Brand Management, Services Marketing, Rural Marketing, International marketing, B2B Marketing, CRM, Internet Marketing, E-Commerce etc. Essential requirements – Good academic record with a Ph.D. and active engagement in research with strong publications record. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with consistent engagement in basic and applied research with strong publications record. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
  2. Assistant Professor in Financial Management – One Post. Pay Band Rs. 15,600-Rs. 39,100 and Academic Grade Pay Rs. 6,000. Candidate should have expertise in Business Economics, Management Accounting, Financial Analysis and Reporting, Risk Management, Banking and Investment, International Finance, Project Finance, Valuation, Venture Capital, Financial Services, Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Financial Modeling, Financial Econometrics, Insurance and Actuaries etc.
  3. Assistant Professor in Human Resource Management – One Post. Pay Band Rs. 15,600 – Rs. 39,100 and Academic Grade Pay Rs. 6,000. Should have expertise in Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development, Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Leadership, Development, Organizational Learning, Knowledge Management etc.

Essential requirements for the Post of Assistant Professor – Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F at the Master’s Degree level from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. A relaxation of 5% will be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks at the Master’s level for the SC/ST category candidates, and to the Ph. D. Degree holders who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September 1991.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/Institutions. Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching and research experience (part time work experience while doing doctoral research will not be considered).

  1. Programme Manager – One Post for Coordination and Management of Course in Rural Management. The candidate will work to strengthen Inter faculty and Intra-Departmental linkages in teaching and research, prepare teaching modules and manuals, organize conferences and other required events in the department. Consolidated Salary of Rs. 45,000/- per month. Essential requirements – An outstanding professional having proven experience in education, research, teaching and managing projects. The candidate should be well-versed in coordinating interdisciplinary research projects, develop course curriculum and handle large data sets using advanced statistical tools including SPSS, STATA, GIS etc. Candidate should possess M.Phil./PhD. with UGC NET in a relevant discipline and should have an additional experience in rural-urban studies with an outstanding academic background. *All positions are purely temporary on contractual basis of one year. However, the contract is likely to be renewed on satisfactory performance.
