BIGCHEM (BIG data in CHEMistry) is a Marie Skodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) for Early Stage Researchers (ESR) funded by the European Commission under the H2020 Program.
BIGCHEM ITN will offer a widespread and multi-disciplinary structured curriculum for PhD scholars in large chemical data study using machine learning, computational chemistry and chemo-informatics methods.
The innovative research plan will be implemented with the target users, large pharmaceutical companies which produce and examine large chemical data. BIGCHEM is a joint deed of 9 groups in 5 countries from universities and pharmaceutical industry. The complementary proficiency of partners in different facet of large chemical data, including data creation, figures security, analysis, and improvement of theoretical methods is the basis of the research topics and allotment of individual responsibilities and resources.
This project will provide training to 10 Early Stage Researchers (ESR). The ESRs will be attached to their respective universities to undertake their PhD research. ESRs will work on many different projects under the supervision of renowned scientists from the participating institutions.
Eligibility for ESRs:
- Candidates applying for the ESRs shall, at the time of selection by the host institute/University, be in the first four years of their research and have not been awarded with a doctoral degree.
- The eligibility of ESRs will be decided at the time of their first enrollment in the project.
Mobility Rule for ESRs:
- At the time of selection by the host institute, applicant must not have stayed or carried out their work, studies, etc. in the country of their host organization for more than 1 year in the 3 years directly prior to the orientation date.
