Biotechnology: Post-doctoral fellowship; KSCSTE 1900 views

Kerala Biotechnology Commission under KSCSTE (Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment) calls for application from qualifies candidates for Post-Doctoral Fellowship for pursuing research in the leading areas of Biotechnology.

Fellowship value:
  • Amount of Rs.32,000/month with HRA (10%)
  • Annual contingent grant of Rs.50,000/-.
  • Candidates who have submitted thesis for PhD; fellowship amount will be Rs.22,000/month in place of Rs. 25,000/month till the degree is awarded.

Conditions:

  • The research work will be carried out in an institution under KSCSTE or any reputed R&D institution/University departments in India where research in frontier areas of biotechnology is going on.
  • Duration of the fellowship will be for a period of two years (initially) and extendable to the 3rd
  • Candidate must join the program within 3 months from the date of award of fellowship.
  • The fellowship cannot be availed at the same institution where the candidates have earned their PhD degree.

Eligibility:

For Post-Doctoral Fellowship

  • Candidate should be a Keralite by birth / domicile.
  • Candidates should possess a Ph.D degree in Science or Engineering , at the time of application.
  • Candidates should have published at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed Journal (SCI- journal) or one national patent.
  • Age should not be more than 40 years as on 1st January of the current year.

  • CV (including Email ID, telephone number, etc.)
  • List of publications
  • Copies of all relevant certificates (M.Sc/PhD/MD/MS Thesis submission certificate, Post-Doctoral experience, age proof)
  • One page synopsis of research work
  • Applicant must propose the place of work, consent letter from the host institution, name of the supervisor and his/her consent, and enclose one page synopsis of proposed research for availing the fellowship.
