Development-Related Postgraduate Courses; DAAD 2551 views

DAAD with its development-oriented postgraduate study programmes, endorses the training of specialists from development and newly industrialised countries. The scholarships offer overseas graduates from across all the disciplines and with at least two years’ professional experience the chance to take a postgraduate or Master’s degree at a state or state-recognized German university, and in exceptional cases to take a PhD degree, and to receive a university qualification (Master’s/PhD) in Germany.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must at least hold bachelor’s (Graduate) degree with at least two years’ professional experience
  • The last academic degree must have been completed no longer than 6 years previously.

Duration of scholarship: 12 to 36 months (depends on the chosen study programme)

Value:

  • monthly allowance of 750 euros for graduates; 1,000 euros for PhD candidates (depending on academic level)
  • health, accident and personal liability insurance cover is provided
  • Travel allowance
