The Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences at Longwood University USA invites applications for a tenure-track position in Biology and Environmental Sciences at the Assistant Professor level to begin in August 2017.

We are seeking a broadly trained microbiologist whose research interests will complement those of our faculty. Teaching responsibilities include general microbiology for the healthcare professional AND microbiology, introductory biology, and upper-level courses in the applicants area of expertise.

The successful applicants will have an earned PhD in Biology and Environmental Sciences, a strong commitment to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching, the potential to develop a successful research program in an undergraduate setting, dedication to quality advising of students and supervision of undergraduate research, and commitment to service to the University and local communities.
