The Fellowship Programme is meant for graduates from universities or higher technical institutes in a wide range of applied sciences, computing and engineering with limited or no work experience. CERN is associated with COFUND a European Commission Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action to stimulate mobility and career development through fellowship programmes.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be national of a CERN Member State or Non-Member States with a senior profile (limited number of positions is available to young scientists).
  • Applicant must hold graduate degree or are about to graduate with a university degree of Bachelor’s in Science level or above or a technical engineer qualification.
  • Applicants who are currently preparing a diploma are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants having Master’s level degree or above must not have more than 10 years relevant experience; Or having only a BSc or a technical engineer diploma must not have more than 4 years relevant experience.
  • If applicant is applying in experimental or theoretical physics fields, must have a PhD or are about to finish thesis.
  • If applicant is applying for applied science, computing or engineering, must hold a university degree (BSc level or above) or a technical engineer qualification (or are about to graduate).
