Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) is a foremost research and teaching institution set up by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), for the study of national and international development issues from an economic perspective. Applications are invited to recruit Assistant Professors / Associate Professors and Visiting positions with specialization in: macroeconomics, international economics, energy/environment economics, finance, development economics, industry, agriculture, international trade, labour markets, econometrics and microeconomics.

Assistant Professor

Qualifications:

  • Applicant should have a Ph.D., with a very good academic record throughout, with excellent publications.
  • Applicants with at least three years of post-Ph.D. research/teaching experience, may be considered for appointment on a contractual basis in PB3 with AGP INR 8000 with a minimum pay of INR 1,01,500/- and a total gross salary of INR 1,18,283/- (excluding HRA) as per 7th cpc.
  • Candidates with less than three years of post-Ph.D. research/teaching experience may be considered for appointment on a contractual basis.
Associate Professor

Qualifications:

  • Applicant should have a Ph.D., with a very good academic record throughout, with excellent publications, and a minimum of six year’s teaching/research experience in reputed institutions, of which at least, three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor in a reputed institutions.
Visiting Positions

Qualifications:

    • Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting the award of the PhD degree may be considered for visiting appointment on a contractual basis.
