The Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion (MPI CEC) is inviting application for for a PhD position. This doctoral position is available from January 15, 2019 for a duration of 36 months. The remuneration is based on the Collective Agreement for the German Public Service (TVöD-Bund).
Overview
The project work aims at the development of recombinant strategies for the production of high yields of functionally active energy converting enzymes and the functional and spectroscopic characterization of their active site cofactors.
Requirements
We are at MPI CEC looking for a highly motivated young scientist with the following skills:
- A master degree in biology, chemistry or a related subject
- Background in biochemistry and molecular biology
- Interest in metalloenzymes and energy conversion reactions
- Very good knowledge of the English language (spoken and written)
- Very good networking and communication skill
