University of Queensland’s Australian Institute for Bioengineering & Nanotechnology (AIBN) is a dynamic multi-disciplinary research institute dedicated to developing technology to alleviate societal problems in the areas of health, energy, manufacturing and environmental sustainability.

Overview:

  1. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, synthesis, and characterization and performance evaluation of advanced nanoformulation for next-generation termiticides.
  2. You will initiate research work to meet the project requirements of the Advance Queensland Innovation Partnership Project, including managing data collection and data analysis.

Requirements / Eligibility

  1. PhD in chemistry, materials science or biomedical engineering.
  2. Knowledge in materials science, drug loading and agricultural active delivery.
  3. Previous work on projects involving biology, nanomaterials and their applications in drug delivery, nanomedicine or delivery of agricultural actives; and demonstrated experience in in vitro and in vivo pest bioassays is essential.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team will see you succeed in this role.

Fellowships  / Remuneration

  1. This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for three (3) years
  2. The position will be Academic Level A.
  3. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,545 – $87,535 p.a.,
  4. Employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $95,408 – $102,416 p.a.).
