Research Scientists in Computational Materials Science Research at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science (Leader: Seiji Yunoki)

Research Area: RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS) takes the lead in advancing the computational science. The main interests of the laboratory include the development of large-scale numerical simulations for quantum many-body systems & the research of strongly correlated quantum systems mainly using large-scale numerical simulations.

Project research field: Condensed matter physics, to meet the era of a post Moore’s law world. The interdisciplinary research includes quantum many-body physics, statistical physics, quantum information, & machine learning.

Educational Qualifications

  1. Applicants must have a PhD degree
  2. Research experience not shorter than 5 years after receiving the degree.
  3. Strong experience and knowledge of condensed matter physics or statistical physics using quantum many-body numerical methods.
  4. Highly motivated candidates for the development of large-scale simulations are encouraged to apply.
  5. Candidates with knowledge of machine learning, quantum information, or quantum computer are also preferable.
