Scientific Attache by MST- DST in USA: Gov. of India, Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Science & Technology (DST) Applications are invited for filling up of 1 (one) post of Scientific Attache, Gp. ‘A’ Gazetted in the Indian Missionat Washington, U.S.A by transfer on deputation (including a short term contract) basis.

SCALE OF PAY : Rs. 37400 – 67000/-(PB-4) + Grade Pay Rs. 8900/- (Revised)

NATURE OF POST: Temporary

PERIOD OF DEPUTATION : 3 years.

Essential Qualification & Experience:

1. Master’s degree in Science or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology of a recognized University or equivalent.
2. Scientists / Technologists / Researchers working in Indian Central or State Government or University or Recognised Research Institutions or Semi-Government or Statutory or autonomous organizations in India or abroad; and
   1. Holding analogous post on regular basis; or
   2. with 2 years regular service in post in the scale of Rs. 14300-18300 (prerevised) or equivalent; or
   3. 7 years regular service in scale of Rs. 12000-16500 (pre-revised) or equivalent.

Desirable Qualification & Experience:

1. Knowledge of a modern European / German / Russian / Japanese language in addition to English.
2. PhD Degree in Science or Masters Degree in Engineering / Technology;
3. Wide experience in interdisciplinary areas of Science and Technology with an emphasis on
   1. copyrights,
   2. intellectual property rights,
   3. patents and inventions.

AGE LIMIT:Upper age limit shall not exceed 56 years as on the last date for receipt of applications.
