Director, NCAOR invites applications (Scientist C and Scientist B) from eligible and prospective candidates of Indian Nationals, for filling up of below posts under the various scientific projects on contract basis.

Project Scientist C, Consolidated emoluments (*)Rs. 65000/-+HRA as applicable UR (12 positions), Max. Age 40 Y

Essential Qualification:
(i) Masters Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Sciences/Chemical Oceanography or its equivalent or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized university or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
Experience:
(i)Three years of experience in teaching (at graduate or post graduate level)/research & development/ survey/ administration/ planning/ supervision or training etc. in the field of hydrothermal exploration relevant to the nature or responsibilities. (ii) Experience in participation of Scientific Expeditions, Sample Collections and analysis of chemical parameters, data analysis and interpretation.

Desirable:
(i) PhD in relevant field
(ii)Experience in analysis of major, trace and rare earth elements, isotopes etc. and in extraction of dissolved gases, trace metals from seawater etc

Project Scientist B, Consolidated emoluments (*)Rs. 55000/-+HRA as applicable UR (19 positions), SC (04 positions), ST (02 positions), OBC (08 positions) Max. Age 35 Y

Note:- One post of Project Scientist B is suitable for PH (OH) (*) Emoluments subject to revision.

Essential Qualification:
(i) Masters Degree in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics/Marine Geophysics or its equivalent or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized university or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.

Desirable:
(i) Two years of experience in the field relevant to the nature of responsibilities. (ii) Research and /or field experience in acquisition processing, interpretation and modeling of marine geophysical data with experience in Scientific Cruises
