A postdoctoral position in synthetic organic chemistry is available, focusing on the preparation of fluorinated heterocycles is open in Prof. Welch’s laboratory in the Department of Chemistry, University at Albany, State University of New York USA.
The position is available immediately for 1 year initially with possible extension. Applicants with a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry with strong synthetic background are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications:
PhD in organic chemistry, good publication record. Preferred candidates should have broad expertise in synthesis of fluorinated heterocycles, compound purification and characterization. Knowledge in the use of mass spectrometric and NMR spectrometry methods is essential.
