TWAS-NCP Post-doc Fellowship: Physical sciences 1578 views

TWAS-NCP Post-doc Fellowship, Pakistan: TWAS-NCP Post-doc Fellowships are acceptable in the departments and laboratories of the National Centre for Physics for a min period of 6 months to a max period of 12 months in fields of physics. Successfully selected candidates will be provided a monthly stipend which should be used to cover living costs such as food, accommodation and health insurance. The monthly stipend will not be convertible into foreign currency. The language of instruction is English.

Qualifications:

Applicants for these fellowships must meet the following criteria

  • be permanent residents in a developing country (other than Pakistan)
  • must not hold any visa for tem/perm citizenship in Pakistan or any developed country
  • hold a Doctoral degree in a field of natural sciences
  • apply for the fellowship within 5 yrs of having obtained a doctoral degree
  • be regularly employed in a developing country (other than Pakistan) and hold a research assignment there;
  • provide a certificate of good health from a qualified medical doctor;
  • present an authorized Acceptance Letter from NCP
  • present proof of proficiency in English, only if the education was not in English medium
  • provide evidence that s/he will return to her/his home country on completion of the fellowship;
  • not take up other assignments during the period of her/his fellowship;

How to apply:

  • The call is open from April until 15 September of each year.
  • Reference letters (on letter-headed paper, duly signed and sent to TWAS and NCP as attachments via e-mail).
  • The subject line must contain NCP/PDoc and the candidate’s surname.
  • Candidates applying this fellowship must send a copy of application (by email) to TWAS and to NCP.
