Visiting Students’ Research Programme (VSRP-2019): TIFR 3950 views

The Visiting Students’ Research Programme (VSRP) will be held at TIFR, Mumbai.

Subject areas: Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Mathematics/ Computer & Systems Sciences
Duration: May 6 to June 28, 2019; for Mathematics: May 14 to June 14 2019

Eligibility:

  • Two years of undergraduate course work in an academic institution.
  • Should not have participated in VSRP before.
  • The programme is for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme and not for PhD students or faculty members.

Stipend/Accommodation:  

  • monthly stipend @ Rs 7000/- per month
  • to and fro travel re-imbursement from the place of their residence
  • free shared accommodation on- or off- campus is provided

  • First complete basic registration step by step as given below:
  • Basic registration: choose the Preferred Subject (Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Mathematics / Computer & Systems Sciences).
  • Applicant will receive an email after basic registration with a link for advanced registration.
  • For advanced registration following documents must be ready :
  • Scanned passport size photograph
  • Applicant can select up to 2 departments, and for each department, they can fill in two areas of interest from the options available in the menu.
  • A write-up, describing interest in the most preferred field of study has to be provided in the appropriate box (up to 400 words).
  • 2 references with names, affiliation, designation, contact address (both e-mail and physical address)
  • Students from remote areas can send a request for application form along with a self-addressed stamped envelope of Rs 20/- to : Superscribed (VSRP-2019)
